How You Can Pray This Month

We’re continually reminded how much we depend on the Lord—and how meaningful it is to have you standing with us in prayer. 

There are many things we can plan and prepare for, but it is God who opens doors, softens hearts, and sustains us along the way. Your prayers are a vital part of that work, and we’re deeply thankful for your faithfulness.

How You Can Pray for Our Family

• Pray that Joel, Kelly, and Janaya would continue to experience the Lord's faithfulness in both the ordinary and unexpected moments of life. Ask Him to renew our strength, deepen our love for His Word, and give us hearts that are eager to follow His leading, wherever He may take us.

• Pray that God would bless the relationships we're building here in Chiang Mai. Ask Him to help us be a genuine encouragement to our neighbors, friends, and those we meet throughout the week. May our conversations, kindness, and everyday interactions reflect the love of Jesus and open doors for meaningful friendships and opportunities to share our faith.

• Pray for Janaya as she moves further into her senior year of high school. Ask the Lord to help her manage her studies well, remain focused and encouraged, and finish this important chapter of her education with confidence. Pray also for wisdom and direction as she considers the opportunities and decisions that lie ahead, trusting that God will guide her steps.

• Pray for Joel and Kelly as we balance the responsibilities of ministry, family, and everyday life in Thailand. Ask the Lord to give us fresh perspective, patience, and wisdom in the decisions before us. Pray that we'd continue to find joy in serving together, encourage one another through life's challenges, and recognize God's goodness in the little things along the way.

• Pray that our family would experience a renewed sense of peace, contentment, and gratitude in this season of life. Ask the Lord to guard our hearts from unnecessary worry, help us rest in His promises, and remind us daily that His grace is sufficient for every need. May our home be a place of laughter, encouragement, and genuine joy in the Lord.

How You Can Pray for the Thai People & Our Ministry

• Pray that the Lord will continue to bless the ministry partnership between Joel and his good friend, Pastor Mana, and his family, who have faithfully planted churches in several areas of Thailand. During Joel's recent visit to Minburi (Bangkok) and Chaiyaphum Province, he preached at ASIAN Christian Church and joined Pastor Mana for a Safe Journey outreach at a local high school, where 52 motorcycle helmets and New Testaments were distributed. Ask the Lord to continue working in the hearts of those who heard the Gospel, strengthen the believers in these churches, and encourage Pastor Mana and his family as they faithfully serve in church planting and evangelism throughout Thailand.

• Pray for God's wisdom and direction as we coordinate additional Safe Journey outreaches at high schools in Chiang Mai Province, Central Thailand, and Northeast Thailand during the remaining months of this year. Ask the Lord to prepare the way before us, guide our conversations with school administrators and local ministry partners, and provide everything needed for these opportunities. Pray especially that students and teachers will be receptive to the Gospel and that the seeds planted through these outreaches will bear lasting spiritual fruit.

• Pray for God's continued financial provision as we prepare for our remaining Safe Journey outreaches this year. We praise the Lord for already providing the funds needed to purchase the New Testaments! We are now trusting Him to supply the additional funding needed for 200 motorcycle helmets, along with our ongoing ministry expenses. We are deeply grateful for the faithful prayers and generosity of those who make these outreaches possible. If you would like to partner with us financially, we warmly invite you to join us in sharing both practical help and the hope of Jesus Christ with the people of Thailand. • Please continue to pray for Police Captain James, his wife Winnie, and their family as they grow in their faith and walk with the Lord. Each month, we provide Captain James with 10 motorcycle helmets and 10 New Testaments to distribute through his community outreach. He frequently shares videos of these distributions with his more than 460,000 social media followers, providing a remarkable opportunity to share the Gospel far beyond the people he meets personally. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide and lead James, giving him wisdom, discernment, and clear direction as he serves. Pray that the Lord will use his faithful witness, both in person and online, to reach thousands of Thai people with the Good News of Jesus Christ.

• Pray that God will greatly expand the spiritual impact of our Safe Journey outreaches and the growing social media influence of Captain James. Through school programs, community outreach, personal conversations, and online videos, the Gospel is reaching people we might never have the opportunity to meet face-to-face. Ask the Lord to use these open doors to bring the message of salvation to thousands of Thai people throughout the country. Pray that those who hear or see the Gospel will be drawn to Christ, seek to know Him personally, and become faithful followers of Jesus. May every helmet given, every New Testament shared, and every Gospel message proclaimed be used for His glory.

• Continue to pray for Kelly and Rhythms in Motion as she shares the heart and vision of this ministry through her monthly Along the RiM with Kelly reflections. Ask the Lord to use these personal updates to encourage readers, deepen their understanding of the ministry, and inspire others to become involved through prayer and partnership. Pray that God will continue opening doors for Rhythms in Motion and use Kelly's creativity and dedication to bless others and further His Kingdom.
